In the Liman direction, Russian occupation forces are actively using light equipment. The enemy is trying to break through Ukrainian positions on motorcycles and ATVs.
This was announced on TV on April 7 by Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the operational-strategic group of troops “Khortytsia”. According to him, what is happening on this section of the front resembles “the battle of Makhnovist carts.”
Now, in the Lymansky direction, the Russians are very actively trying to restore their position after some successful Ukrainian attacks. The invaders have concentrated a fairly large number of their forces there.
“One of the factors that makes the Liman direction different from Pokrovsky, for example, is that light equipment is used much more actively there. The Russians are much more actively trying to simply infiltrate Ukrainian battle formations on light equipment: motorcycles, ATVs, gain a foothold, and then pull up infantry,” Tregubov said.
Meanwhile, in the Pokrovsky direction, he noted, everything is happening “according to the classical scheme.”
“Both there and there, however, UAVs are used very actively, and the response to the use of UAVs by the Ukrainian Forces by the Russians is the transition to such light vehicles,” the spokesman added.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Russian troops are expanding their bridgehead northeast of Liman . The enemy aims to capture this city, as well as Borovaya, in the coming months.
