The forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck enemy targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Luhansk region. A radar station and a fuel and lubricants storage base were hit.
The event became known on January 2. This was announced by the official Telegram channel of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The message notes that operators of 1st separate SBS center carried out a middle strike on enemy targets located in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
The department emphasized: “The forces of unmanned systems are consistently reducing the enemy’s ability to continue aggression against Ukraine. SBS: One step ahead!”
Drone strike
The Unmanned Systems Forces clarified that an enemy fuel and lubricant storage base was hit in the Luhansk region. Objective control equipment recorded a large-scale fire at the facility. Information about the final consequences of the hit is currently being clarified.
Ukrainian military also hit a radar station in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the SBS, this radar provided airspace surveillance and was used by the enemy for military purposes.
What is known so far?
The report notes that the operation was carried out by operators of 1 separate SBS center. The most important result of the strikes was the disabling of critical elements of the enemy’s infrastructure. This includes both logistical support and elements of the surveillance system.
The Unmanned Systems Forces emphasized that such actions are aimed at reducing the enemy’s ability to conduct combat operations against Ukraine. More detailed information about the consequences of the strikes may appear later, after the assessment of the results is completed.
OBOZ.UA previously reported that on the night of December 31, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important facilities of the Russian occupiers. The Tuapse oil refinery in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation, the Tamanneftegaz oil and gas terminal, as well as the Russian reserve oil depot were hit by fire. The attacks were part of actions to reduce the military-economic potential of the aggressor state.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces also struck another strike on temporarily occupied Donetsk. As a result of the operation, equipment and the launch preparation site for the Shahed/Geran UAV at the Donetsk airport were hit.
