Ukrainian soldiers continue to eliminate commanders of Russian occupation units who committed war crimes against the Ukrainian people. It became known about the elimination of the commander of the 11th tank regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, Alexei Karavaev.
He came under Ukrainian attack in the Kharkiv direction, his subordinates had previously executed prisoners and unarmed Ukrainian defenders. This was reported in the “I Want to Live” project.

The project reported that “the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated the fifth commander of the 11th Tank Regiment in a year and a half.”
“Major Oleksiy Karavayev, commander of the 11th TP of the 18th MSD, died on the night of October 3-4 in the Kharkiv direction,” Hochu Zhit noted.

They did not specify whether they were talking about the five commanders of this specific unit, the battalion that Karavayev commanded before joining the 11th Tank Regiment, or about the five commanders of various units eliminated during the specified period of time – 1.5 years.
It is known that Karavaev was previously the commander of the 1st battalion of the 82nd SME of the 69th MSD.

Tuzhilov, mentioned in the report, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Ukraine.
According to the SBU, he personally shot a bound Ukrainian fighter, and also helped organize and guard the execution sites of two more prisoners. Before the murder, the Russians tortured Ukrainian defenders and received permission for the executions from their leadership.
As OBOZ.UA reported, in September, the chief of staff of the MTO of the 25th Combined Arms Army of Russia was eliminated in occupied Donetsk.
Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Basenko died on August 26, 2026 as a result of a pinpoint strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the command post of the occupiers in Donetsk.
46-year-old Basenko was responsible for organizing supplies, logistics, and material and technical support for units of the 25th Army at the front.
