The IT Coalition was established within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine in the “Ramstein” format in September last year. Its scope is communications, computerization and cybersecurity of the army. The coalition includes Estonia and Luxembourg (leaders in the coalition), Belgium, Britain, Denmark, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Sweden and Japan.
As the Minister of Defense noted, Ireland recently became another new participant in this format.
Umerov added that Ukraine is already determining priority needs for next year. According to him, Estonia has announced a new contribution (in the amount of 5 million euros) for 2025, and Germany, Finland, Sweden and Canada have also announced further contributions.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the founder of the Codemify IT school, Serhiy Khromchenko, who has been living in the USA for over 15 years, is initiating an educational grant program for veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who wish to master a new profession in IT.
