The Armed Forces of Ukraine captured Brezhnev’s great-grandson, who fought against Ukraine – Russian media

Anton Milaev, the great-grandson of Soviet General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev, was captured by Ukrainian soldiers in southern Ukraine.

According to the Russian publication, Anton Milaev was born and built his career in Ukraine. He is the named grandson of the daughter of General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Leonid Brezhnev – Galina Brezhneva, who raised him as her own.

It is reported that 45-year-old Milaev signed a contract and went to fight against Ukraine as a sapper in the fall of 2025. In November, he stopped contacting his family.

The soldier’s mother, Iryna Kuznetsova, told reporters that for several months she had no information about her son’s fate. Later, the family was informed that he was alive and in Ukrainian captivity.
