The head of the Ministry of Defense’s GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that it is considered “normal practice” in Ukrainian intelligence to use prostitutes and escorts to obtain important information.

He said this in an interview with journalist Ramina Eshakzai, Censor.NET reports .
According to him, there is nothing forbidden for spies if they need to have sex with prostitutes for business.
He explained that intelligence uses various methods to collect the necessary data.
When asked to what extent Ukrainian intelligence uses methods of gathering information among prostitutes or escorts, Budanov replied:
“Normal methods. And what?.. Do you understand how many men sometimes tell stories to show how powerful they are, as they say? Several unique pieces of information were obtained, which came from prostitutes. There are simply things there that we could not have found out about in principle,” the intelligence chief said.
According to him, everything works on human weaknesses.
“I told you: don’t tempt people,” says Budanov.
He added that no one had ever forced them to do such things, while noting that if the spy was single, “then what’s the problem?”
In addition, according to him, the number of female operatives in intelligence is currently increasing.
“The only thing I can say is that the percentage of women, both in operational and combat units, is increasing significantly. In combat units, it’s a little slower, and in operational units, it’s a little faster compared to combat units. And this trend has been going on for quite a long time,” he said.
Budanov also spoke about “sleeper agents” – their work time is limited to 7 years. Such a term is world practice, the head of the GUR explained.

[…] „Metode normale. Și ce? Înțelegi câți bărbați spun povești doar ca să arate cât de puternici sunt, cum se zice? Am obținut câteva informații unicat, care au venit de la prostituate. Pur și simplu, sunt lucruri acolo despre care, în principiu, nu am fi putut afla altfel”, a fost răspunsul direct al șefului GUR, potrivit Ukraine Today. […]
