Terrorist Igor Strelkov – Girkin , who actively criticized the Russian military command after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, is fighting in the Russian army.

He stated this in his Telegram channel.

“Since 10/14/2022 in the active army,” he wrote after several days of silence. 

Earlier, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov , said that intelligence knows one of the locations of Girkin. According to him, the terrorist has already arrived in the occupied territory of Ukraine.

Reward for the captured Girkin

Igor Vsevolodovich Girkin (Ivan Ivanovich Strelkov) is a Russian military man and former employee of the Russian FSB. After the start of the Russian invasion of Crimea, Girkin led a sabotage detachment there. In April 2014, with his detachment, he crossed the border of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, led the capture of Slavyansk. Known as the commander of the “DPR” army and the “Minister of Defense” in the “DPR”. 

The Security Service of Ukraine and the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine launched proceedings against Girkin for terrorism, violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, torture and premeditated murder. 

In addition, in 2019, the Netherlands put Girkin on the international wanted list as a person involved in the downing of the Boeing MH-17.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia into the territory of Ukraine, he actively criticizes the Russian army, Putin and the military leadership for insufficient cruelty. 

The day before, Girkin’s wife published a photo of him in military uniform. After that, Ukrainian activists, athletes and public figures promised a reward to anyone who would capture a terrorist .

Also, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced its intention to pay 100 thousand dollars for the captured Girkin . Officials will also receive the award .
