Ten more Ukrainian citizens have been returned from Russian captivity , Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported .

“We managed to return ten more of our people from Russian captivity. Despite all the difficulties. Nariman Dzhelal, deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, captured in Crimea back in 2021. Elena Pekh and Valeriy Matyushenko are civilians who were in captivity back in 2017-2018. Bohdan Geleta and Ivan Levitsky are priests of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, captured in Berdyansk for resisting the occupiers,” he wrote.

Five more civilians who were captured on the territory of Belarus and imprisoned were also released: Nikolai Shvets, Natalya Zakharenko, Pavel Kuprienko, Lyudmila Goncharenko and Ekaterina Bryukhanova.

“All of them have already been released and are at home in Ukraine. Thanks to each and everyone who helped! Thanks to our team, which is engaged in the release of prisoners. I would also like to note the efforts of the Vatican to bring these people home. We will definitely release all of our people,” he added Zelensky.

On Tuesday, June 25, 90 Ukrainian military personnel were returned from Russian captivity .

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel. According to him, soldiers of the National Guard, the Navy, the Army, the Territorial Defense, and the Border Service were released from captivity.
