The Free Democratic Party of Germany wants to bring the issue of sending German Taurus missiles to Ukraine up for discussion in the Bundestag.
The leader of the parliamentary group, Christian Dürr, told journalists about this, writes Tagesschau . According to him, Germany should follow the example of the United States of America in the issue of permission for long-range strikes against Russia. The parliamentary group will submit a corresponding proposal during the next session week.
Free Democratic Party leader Christian Lindner, who was fired from his post as finance minister by Chancellor Olaf Scholz earlier this month, also supported sending missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces:
“Taurus must be delivered immediately. The Chancellor has always warned against going it alone. Now he is isolated. The US and others are leading the way. Germany must follow. There is a majority in the Bundestag. Do it!”
