On the night of August 15, the Defense Forces inflicted losses on the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers struck the command post of the 132nd separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian army in Yenakiyevo: this unit has been fighting against Ukraine since 2014.
The target was successfully hit. The strike was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The strike was carried out on the occupiers’ deployment point in Yenakiyevo.
On the afternoon of August 15, the General Staff reported the destruction of two important enemy military targets at once. One of them was in the part of Donetsk region temporarily occupied since 2014, in the hometown of fugitive ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, Yenakiievo.
“As part of reducing the enemy’s offensive potential, on the night of August 15, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, carried out fire damage to a number of important objects of the Russian aggressor… The fire damage was carried out on the control point of the 132nd separate motorized rifle brigade of the 51st army of the Russian Armed Forces in the city of Yenakiyevo , which is in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. The target was hit. The results of the damage are being clarified,” the General Staff emphasized.
This statement confirmed the messages of a number of Telegram channels engaged, in particular, in OSINT investigations.
According to researchers, the occupiers placed their deployment point in one of the schools of the occupied city: the invaders believed so much that no one would come for them that they have not changed their deployment location for the past ten years.

According to our information, since 2015, 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade (until 2023 – 3rd Motorized Rifle Brigade “Berkut”) was stationed there ,” the “CyberBoroshno” Telegram channel noted after midnight.
The channel “People’s Resistance of Ukraine”, which positions itself as a resource for the Ukrainian partisan movement, confirmed the conclusions of the observers by adding vivid footage of the consequences of the hit.
In some videos, their authors are outraged that “the school was hit, there is no more school” – keeping quiet about both the fact of the long-term presence of the occupiers there and the fact that the “textbooks” and other “school supplies” detonated for at least three hours after the hit.
What is known about the 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Army?
The defeat of any military target of the occupation army is in itself a holiday for every Ukrainian. However, in the case of the arrival at the location in Yenakiyevo, this holiday can be considered a double one, because the occupiers who have been fighting against our state since 2014 have been defeated.
The current 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Russian Army , which until 2023 was called the Berkut Motorized Rifle Brigade, was considered part of the so-called “1st Army Corps of the DPR” before the full-scale Russian invasion. This illegal armed formation of the enemy was created in the fall of 2014 on the basis of the so-called “Bezler Group”, which operated in Horlivka, Donetsk region.
The core of the “personnel” of this then-future component of the “second army in the world” was quite traditional for hybrid Russian forces: it included local marginals and representatives of criminality. However, the command of this “unit” was carried out directly from the Russian Federation.
Since February 24, 2022, this brigade has been participating in the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. In particular, it captured Volnovakha and Verkhnyotoretske.
In August 2022, the leader of the “DPR” Denis Pushilin awarded the gang with the “Order of the Republic” for “mass heroism and courage.”
At the end of January 2023, it officially joined the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, receiving the name 132nd Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade. The military unit number changed from 08803 to 52892.
In early August 2025, it became known that the 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade is staffed by residents of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region and illegal migrants, mainly from Central Asian countries. This formation is involved in fulfilling the order of the Russian command to soon advance to the eastern outskirts of Dobropillya, in the area where the Russians recently managed to break through Ukrainian defenses.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the second important target, the destruction of which was confirmed by the General Staff, was the Syzran Oil Refinery. At least several hits were recorded, and powerful fires broke out on the territory of the enterprise. The Russians spoke about the wounded and dead on the territory of the plant, which is important for the occupiers.
In addition, according to the General Staff, on August 14, the Defense Forces managed to strike a seaport in Russia through which “Shaheeds” were supplied from Iran.
