Spain promises to continue supporting Ukraine.
Switzerland imposes a veto on the supply of certain military materials to Ukraine from Spain.
This was stated by Spanish Minister of Defense Margarita Robles during a meeting with Spanish ambassadors in Madrid, writes Europa Press . According to her, Switzerland does not authorize certain shipments, which require a guarantee from the producing country for re-export.
“We understand, respect and accept neutrality, but we need permission from Switzerland, which it does not give us at the moment,” she said.
Robles announced the sending of military aid to Ukraine and assured that Spain will continue to do so to help the country defend itself against Russia’s unjust, illegal and brutal invasion. She noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Spain has been accepting refugees from Ukraine, as well as treating and training Ukrainian military personnel.
According to the minister, the war in Ukraine showed that “we live in a situation of absolute insecurity.”
Spain’s position in the war
Recall that in September, transport aircraft of the Spanish Air Force delivered 75 pallets of ammunition to Ukraine . Later, the country handed over SUVs, ambulances and medicines to Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense announced the transfer of two additional Hawk anti-aircraft missile systems in addition to the already announced four.
As UNIAN reported, explosives were sent to the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid in November . A similar package was received by an arms company in Zaragoza.
Then Robles assured that explosive letters would not affect the support of Ukraine in any way.

Switzerland is and has been for centuries a country of venal, integrity-free criminals. They got rich on Jewish wealth thieved by nazis, they hold huge stashes of criminal money from Russian mafia, Russian ruling elite, Italian mafia, Albanian mafia, African despots, Arab despots, terror gangs etc etc.
Switzerland should be told to pay up or face severe consequences, including military options.
They try to be neutral but in their efforts they end up helping the war criminals…again. If they can’t see who is the aggressor and who is the victim then they’re blind, corrupt and have blood on they’re hands.
If I was Joe Biden, I would have sanctioned Switzerland. There is no such thing as being neutral. You aren’t neutral if you do not condemn this barbarism and brutality. No, then you are just a scumbag.
Unfortunately I am not Joe Biden. Or maybe for the better, because maybe if I were Joe Biden a nuclear war would already have happened. And at the very least I would have created a huge fight between the U.S. and Germany, because I wouldn’t have tolerated Germany’s arssegiving and freeloading behaviour.
I do not think Joe Biden is sleepy or a fool as some here believe. He is not an idiot (even though he often manages to make my blood boil out of anger when he refused to send ATACMS), but he is just too cautious for my taste.
As we saw during the Kharkov offensive: what seemed to be random aid packages at first were in fact tailor-made for this offensive and planned many months before.
I do suspect for example that the Bradleys, together with the T-72 tanks upgraded in the Czech Republic were sent in preparation of the recapture of the land bridge to Crimea: Melitopol and surroundings.
I think he is carefully escalating one step at a time, to prevent unexpected steps from Russia and for things to go out of control. Austin also emphasised it will take a long time, probably because the Russian elite and people need to feel the sanctions bite, get scared of mobilisation and thus see Putins position becoming shaky.
The downside of this policy is that Putin can exploit his predictability and make calculations.
Also I think it makes the war take much longer than needed and with a lot more casualties and destruction.
Even though I don’t really support this policy, I do think the Pentagon and the government have a strategy and aren’t just sending random weapons to Ukraine.
Switzerland should burn in hell, along with mafia land.
