During a telephone conversation today, Russian President Vladimir Putin drew US President Donald Trump’s attention to Ukraine’s alleged drone attack on his residence in the Novgorod region . This was stated by the Russian leader’s aide, Yuri Ushakov.
According to him, Trump was allegedly “shocked and outraged by Kyiv’s attack on Putin’s state residence.” He claimed he couldn’t even imagine “such crazy actions.”
“Trump himself said that the US administration, ‘thank God, did not give Tomahawks to Kyiv,'” the aide said.
He claims that Putin told the US President that “Kyiv’s terrorist actions in attacking the state residence will not go unanswered.”
“Trump stated that the drone attack on Putin’s residence would “affect American approaches to working with Zelensky,” Ushakov said.
According to him, the drone attack on Putin’s residence occurred “virtually immediately after” the US-Ukraine talks at Mar-a-Lago. Putin told Trump that Russia’s position would be reviewed. He added:
“Some of the results achieved by Trump and Zelensky, in Russia’s view, leave Ukraine room to evade its obligations.”
