Ukrainian soldiers conducted successful counteroffensives in the Donetsk region . They liberated three more villages that the enemy had previously captured.
The villages of Mykhailivka, Zelenyy Hai, and Volodymyrivka have returned to Ukrainian control, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced .

Syrsky said that in recent days he has been working in the Pokrovsky direction, where fierce fighting is ongoing.
“I work in combat areas. The Pokrovsk direction is where it is most difficult. Where the defense of Ukrainian Independence and the Ukrainian Flag is not just lofty words, but a daily risk and a daily feat. I spoke first of all with the servicemen who have been holding the defense of Pokrovsk for a long time, repelling the blows of superior enemy forces,” the commander-in-chief noted.
Syrsky also reported on new settlements liberated from the enemy.
“Our troops successfully counterattacked and cleared the villages in the Donetsk region – Mykhailivka, Zeleny Hay, Volodymyrivka – from the enemy . Once again, I express my deep gratitude to our combat brothers and sisters for their service in these great, decisive days. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Ukrainian heroes!” – said the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He noted the contribution to the defense in the Pokrovsky direction of the soldiers of the 25th Airborne, 68th Jaeger, 32nd and 155th Mechanized Brigades.
“I awarded the best soldiers for their steadfastness, courage, and exemplary performance of military duty. I worked at the command posts of units performing combat missions in the Pokrovsky direction. I listened to reports from corps and brigade commanders on the operational situation. The situation is really difficult, the enemy has focused its main efforts on this section of the front. But we must hold the line. Assistance in organizing combat operations will be provided. Issues regarding additional ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare equipment have been resolved ,” Syrsky said.
As OBOZ.UA reported, on August 21, Syrskyi stated that the Defense Forces had cleared six settlements in the Donetsk region of the enemy and destroyed hundreds of Russian occupiers.
He said that he worked in units conducting stabilization operations on the so-called Dobropil salient.
