According to preliminary information, Ukrainian drones hit the gas processing complex of the Novatek company.
On the night of August 24, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces lit a bright “cotton” at the production facilities of the Ust-Luga port in the Leningrad region.

As UNIAN was told by sources in the special services, according to preliminary information, Ukrainian drones hit the gas processing complex of the Novatek company, which is Russia’s largest producer of liquefied gas.
According to the interlocutor, the video shows a powerful explosion and subsequent huge fire. Osinter writes that the blow fell precisely on the cryogenic gas condensate/gas fractionation unit, which is the “heart” of the complex’s technological processes.
Sources recalled that this is the second successful attack by SBU drones on Ust-Luga this year. The first was in early January.
“Through this terminal, Russia trades oil and gas with the help of a “shadow fleet”. Drone sanctions from the SBU reduce the inflow of foreign currency, which Russia needs to wage war,” an informed source in the SBU reported.
