CNN has published photographs of the remains of the missile that was used to strike the Dnieper.
Journalists have received images of debris from Russian missiles fired at Ukraine in the early morning hours of November 21. A CNN source in the Ukrainian security services provided photographs of debris from the attack on the city of Dnepr.

It is noted that Kyiv accused Russia of launching an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at Ukraine, which will likely be the first time Moscow has used such a weapon in more than 1,000 days of war.
The source said the fragments in the photographs do not necessarily belong to the same missile.
One Western official doubted that the missile was an ICBM.
“CNN has contacted weapons experts to review the photographs in order to provide an independent analysis of the type of missile used,” the report said.

In turn, the United States believes that Russia launched a medium-range missile, not an intercontinental missile, at the Dnieper. A representative of the US administration told Reuters , citing preliminary data. Two more Western officials confirmed to journalists on condition of anonymity that, according to the initial assessment, the Russian missile that attacked the Dnieper was not intercontinental.
Medium-range ballistic missiles are capable of covering distances from 3,000 to 5,500 kilometers, and intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) – more than 5,500 kilometers, the agency recalls.
