Today, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a powerful strike with Storm Shadow missiles on a facility in the Kursk region. The target was probably an underground bunker where the command of one of the Russian armies and North Korean generals were located. This is reported by Defense Express .

According to analysts, the target was a facility in the village of Maryino. A video with sounds of explosions was posted online, filmed near the “Baryatinsky estate” – a sanatorium owned by the Russian Presidential Property Management Department. At the same time, information is provided about the presence of a “communications hub” on the territory of the complex.

“With a high degree of probability, we are talking about not an ordinary communications facility, but a buried command post. Considering the proximity of the sanatorium, it is very likely that it was used by the command of the Russian troop group in the Kursk region. And considering that it is there that the DPRK troops are operating, it is possible that North Korean generals could have been there,” Defense Express writes.

Hitting the object

In the videos published online, about a dozen powerful explosions can be heard. Some of them may be the work of Russian air defense, but Russian Z-bloggers claim that 12 Storm Shadow missiles hit the facility.

Defense Express explains the large number of scarce missiles spent on one facility precisely by the fact that both Russian and North Korean generals were in the bunker.

“Storm Shadow/SCALP (…) are designed to hit targets of this category, as their 450-kg warhead is specially designed to hit protected objects. In particular, these missiles have already hit similar command posts, but on the territory of Ukraine, for example, the reserve command post of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Verkhnesadove,” the experts note.
