The most likely reason Elon Musk finally disabled Starlink for Russian soldiers is because he wants to take SpaceX public this year and get a trillion dollar valuation for his stock IPO.
If the Russians were using Starlink to commit war crimes in Ukraine, then investors might have boycotted Elon’s IPO and hurt its valuation.

Of course blocking Starlink for the orcs because of any morals, was never behind his decision, but to line his own pockets.
