The court in Vitebsk recognized the sports portal Tribuna.com as extremist. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
The court’s decision was taken at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which considered that the portal posted “materials calling for extremist activity.”
In addition to the site itself, its mirror, social networks, bot and application were recognized as extremist.
Access to Tribuna.com in Belarus was closed at the end of 2020.
Tribuna.com is a project by Dmitry Navosha, who is also the creator of Sports.ru. Navosha has repeatedly spoken out in support of the protest movement in Belarus.
In late July, a court in Gomel declared the website and social networks of the opposition television channel Belsat extremist. In June, the Ministry of Internal Affairs demanded that the website and social networks of the Tut.by edition be declared extremist, the website of which had been blocked a month before, and several employees were taken into custody. There is no court decision on Tut.by yet.
