Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers were armed with Kh-101 cruise missiles intended for strikes on Ukraine before they were destroyed, according to drone footage released by Ukraine’s Security Service (SSU).
The video, recorded by Ukrainian kamikaze drones, shows what the SSU reports were preparations for a missile strike.
The agency said the intensity of the fires at the airfields indicates that the aircraft had been refueled for takeoff.
Footage from the Belaya and Olenya airbases captures long-range X-101 cruise missiles mounted under the wings of Tu-95MS bombers.

According to the SSU, the Pavutyna (Spiderweb) operation disrupted the planned attack and destroyed several of Russia’s long-range bombers.

Spiderweb Operation
On June 1, Ukrainian drones struck several Russian military airfields. The drones, delivered in advance to Russian territory, targeted aircraft used in long-range missile attacks.
Some Ukrainian commentators referred to the scale of the damage as a “new Tsushima” for Russian aviation.
According to official statements, the SSU used 117 attack drones launched from containers mounted on trucks.

In an address later that day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the operation had been directed from inside Russia, near the FSS headquarters.
A senior NATO official shared that the alliance had recorded damage to at least 40 Russian aircraft, with 10 to 13 reportedly destroyed.

The official said NATO identified 15 Tu-95 bombers, 20 Tu-22s, and at least one A-50 airborne early warning aircraft among the damaged or destroyed.
Russia possesses only a small number of A-50s.

The Alliance estimates that 34% of Russia’s missile carrier fleet was destroyed in the attack — a loss it described as critically damaging to Moscow’s strike capabilities. The NATO official called the Ukrainian operation highly successful.

The roach aircraft were armed and fueled for takeoff. What perfect timing. The SBU destroyed not only those aircraft, but also expensive missiles, and the plane’s fuel helped the fires burn long and hot.
Krasnov was whining about docked planes after talking with putler today. I have no idea what a docked plane is. Maybe his brain doesn’t register the difference between ships and planes.
Well, his ships and planes share a common trait. They all float in his bubbly bath.
Along with his duck. 😂
Bert would approve. 😁
There is a lot of blabbering about a russian revenge attack, but I’m sure Ukraine have taken that well into account. They are well used to terrorist tactics by now.
They call it revenge, but all it is, is a continuation of what’s been going on anyway.
At any rate, Ukraine pulled some of the ghoul’s teeth.
Revenge for Ukraine’s revenge on the 470 drone strike the night before. Of course this is overlooked by the Western media who are only too eager to publish any BS from putler or Krasnov.
Anything for a good clickbait article, I suppose.
Anti-aircraft systems found unattended near Ukraine border in Poland
The weapons reportedly belong to a private defense company that had allegedly planned to deliver them to Ukraine.
The systems were found at a local aeroclub in the village of Laszki, following a TV Republika report that raised concerns about suspicious containers on the premises.
Acting on the order of the Przemyśl District Prosecutor’s Office, officers from Poland’s Central Bureau of Investigation inspected the site and confirmed that anti-aircraft weapons had been left there. Prosecutors have opened an investigation into suspected mishandling of weapons and ammunition. A private company is under scrutiny in the case.
According to RMF24, the firm was supposed to deliver the air-defense systems to Ukraine but failed to do so for unknown reasons. The weapons were initially stored in guarded warehouses near the border, but the site was later abandoned and left without surveillance.
Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for Poland’s minister responsible for coordinating the intelligence services, confirmed the weapons belong to a private company licensed to trade arms.
Poland’s Ministry of National Defense said the containers found near the border held not only weapons but also ammunition. Officials stressed the weapons are not the property of the Polish military.
“The containers with weapons and ammunition discovered in Laszki, in the Subcarpathian region, do not belong to the Polish army,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement on June 4. “The area and the weapons are currently under guard. For further information, please contact the Ministry of Interior and Administration or the District Prosecutor’s Office in Rzeszów.”

I hope they get delivered to Ukraine. Too bad they weren’t delivered sooner…
Yeah, too bad for the dead.
Thanks for sharing, Larry. I saw this article earlier and wanted to post it.
Such an incident makes you wonder what other strange things happen during arms shipments.
BTY, I know Przemyśl quite well from my frequent visits to Ukraine via the land route.
