On the night of September 18, 2025, units of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery, located in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation .

According to a message on the SSO Telegram channel , according to preliminary information, the work of the enterprise has been stopped.

“The Volgograd Refinery is involved in meeting the needs of the enemy’s armed forces. This refinery is the largest producer of fuels and lubricants in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation,” the Special Operations Forces reported.

As UNIAN reported, Russian Telegram channels today reported that 5 to 8 explosions were heard in the southern part of Volgograd at night. It was noted that Ukrainian drones probably attacked the Lukoil-Volgogradnefteperebka enterprise.

Russian Governor Andrey Bocharov said that a massive UAV attack had been “repulsed” in the region. According to him, “as a result of the fall of UAV debris in the Krasnoarmiysky district of Volgograd, windows were broken and the roof of two private houses was damaged.”

Meanwhile, the head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, Petro Andryuschenko, expressed confidence that the enterprise was “definitely hit.”
