Son of fugitive president Yanukovych receives russian citizenship

The eldest son of the fugitive president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr, received citizenship of the aggressor country of russia.

This is claimed by the russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti.

As the agency writes, it allegedly has documents at its disposal according to which Oleksandr Yanukovych received russian citizenship.

The documents say that the fugitive president’s son has been doing business in russia for ten years. He has a registered company in St. Petersburg, that manages financial and industrial groups.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December 2023, the Court of the European Union canceled sanctions against Viktor Yanukovych and his son Oleksandr. These are sanctions adopted by the EU Council in March 2021.

We will remind you that in January 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court confiscated two houses, a land plot in occupied Donetsk, and an SUV from Yanukovych’s son.

And in August 2022, the court handed over UAH 300 million, which belonged to Oleksandr Yanukovych, to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
