Shot with 8 bullets: GRU special forces commander who fought in Ukraine shot dead in Moscow region

In the Moscow region , the deputy commander of the Center for the Training of Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was shot .

According to Russian publics, the deceased is 44-year-old GRU officer Nikita Klenkov, who returned from the war in Ukraine about a week ago.

It is reported that his car was shot at in the village of Melenki in the Solnechnogorsk district. An unknown person shot at the car with Klenkov in it at point-blank range, 8 bullets were fired into the windshield and the driver’s side window .

According to the telegram channel “VChK-OGPU”, Klenkov was the deputy commander of a military unit. He served in one of the special forces units.

“Important Stories” found out that the murdered man served in military unit 43292, the Special Operations Forces Training Center. The soldier was registered at the center’s address in the city of Solnechnogorsk-2. In addition, according to geolocation data leaks, Klenkov ordered food delivery to the GRU headquarters and visited a clinic near the GRU building.

According to TASS, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, the murder was a contract killing.

The shooter managed to escape and has not yet been found. 

Undermining of the occupiers

In June, in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, the car of the chief of staff of a military unit was blown up . Presumably, a homemade explosive device was planted in the car.

Recently, fighters from the 95th separate Polesie airborne assault brigade (Polesie paratroopers) destroyed a group of occupiers who shot captured Ukrainian soldiers  in the Kursk region
