Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that NATO is going to send 40 thousand troops and 15 thousand units of weapons and military equipment, including strategic aviation, to the borders of Russia. He announced this at a meeting in Severomorsk, writes TASS.
According to Shoigu, American troops are being transferred from the United States to Europe across the Atlantic, and in Europe itself, troops are being moved to the borders of Russia. “The main forces are concentrated in the Black Sea and Baltic region,” the minister said.
Shoigu noted that Russia, in response to the “threatening military activities of the alliance”, carried out a sudden check of the combat readiness of the troops of the Western and Southern military districts.
“Within three weeks, two armies and three formations of the Airborne Forces were successfully deployed to the western borders of the Russian Federation in the areas for performing combat training missions,” Shoigu said. According to the minister, the troops have shown that they are capable of ensuring Russia’s military security. They are now participating in exercises.
Shoigu added that “all verification activities are planned to be completed within two weeks.”
At the end of March, the conflict between official Kiev and the unrecognized Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics escalated in Ukraine after attacks on the Ukrainian military. After that, Russia began to build up troops near the borders of Ukraine. The Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) investigative group called the concentration of Russian troops on the borders with Ukraine the maximum since 2014-2015.
The Ukrainian authorities accused Russia of aggravating the situation in the region. The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia does not pose a threat to any country in the world and is moving the military through its territory “in those directions in which it considers it necessary.”

The logistics to move 40,000 troops would be enormous, but then again, mythical troops could be there tomorrow. As your dumbass spokesman keeps telling everyone, Russia can move it’s troops wherever it wants in Russia, ditto for NATO countries. The difference is, Muscovy soldiers are in Ukraine, uninvited.

Shoigu is simply a Putin toady. The only place numbers like 40K troops are moving are the people under his orders. The transport required to move more than 3 divisions is so massive that such could not help but be noticed. So far, no one has seen anything outside of the Putin regime’s fertile imagination.
