As a result of today’s shelling of Nikolaev by the Russian military, 10 local residents were killed and 46 more were injured.

This was stated by the mayor Alexander Senkevich during the broadcast in social networks.

“Today at 7 in the morning there was shelling again. Shelling of a sleeping area, you all know what, I will not tell our enemy. There is not a single military facility in the area, there is not a single factory or plant in the area, not to mention the storage of fuel or explosive materials. One person was killed, five people were injured, two are in serious condition. One of the districts was shelled in the evening. In total, as a result of this shelling, 9 people died, 41 people were injured. I think that in the near future we can hear more about people who … because people were in a very serious condition in the hospital,” he said.

He also noted that the occupiers were shelling the city with cluster shells.

“Why are they hitting the sleeping areas of our city? I don’t know. I know more precisely. Cluster shells are fired only for one. Cluster shells do not hit equipment, tanks, armored personnel carriers, as they say they demilitarize. They hit human strength, that is, they kill our people , our neighbors, relatives who just walked, stood at the bus stop, went to work, went home and so on,” he said.

Earlier it became known that in Nikolaev , civilians who were standing at the bus stop, as well as passengers of minibuses, came under fire from Russian invaders .
