“As the war in Ukraine gathers momentum, the situation in the world becomes more and more difficult, especially given the fact that Russian forces are gaining strength and increasing the pace of their offensive. This creates different circumstances for the economic situation in Europe and Serbia. We are trying daily to find as many solutions as possible for the coming autumn and winter. The third and fourth quarters will be critical for us. Food and prices, so it’s not easy to get them out of it,” Vucic said today in his address to the public.

Speaking about the strategic challenges facing Serbia, he said that agriculture and energy are the most important.

“We also have a problem in that we have to find an alternative to Russian oil. Oil can only come to us through the Adriatic oil pipeline, as we are also being blackmailed with Kirkuk Iraqi oil. Some producers say they will not cooperate with companies where Russians are majority owners, like NIS,” the Serbian president said.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that Serbia is not going to refuse Russian gas. Vučić also said that he spoke with Putin about the further construction of a gas storage facility in Serbia.
