President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with representatives of the US President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner
Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram .
“A good phone conversation with President Trump’s representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. It was detailed and constructive. It is important that the dialogue between the US and Ukrainian negotiating teams continues constantly, and now we are talking about setting a date for a visit to Ukraine. This trip would be very useful for working out solutions for peace,” Zelensky wrote.
He noted that he had briefed representatives of the White House about the situation on the battlefield, where Russia’s gains are insignificant and are being achieved at the cost of huge losses, as well as about air strikes.
“Steve and Jared know many details. The teams will be in touch to work out the agenda and determine the most convenient schedule for further communication. Thank you to President Trump, Steve and Jared, and everyone in the United States who is working to make peace our common achievement,” Zelenskyy concluded.
- On August 24, it became known that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner “slightly postponed” their long-awaited visit to Ukraine due to increased Russian missile and drone strikes on Kyiv.
