Democrats will continue to fight to hold Donald Trump accountable, Schumer says.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has criticized the Trump administration after it was revealed it was backing away from combating Russian cyber threats, calling the move a “critical strategic mistake.”
Schumer said Trump ” is so desperate to curry favor with a thug like Vladimir Putin that he appears to be giving him a free hand while Russia continues to conduct cyber operations and ransom attacks on critical American infrastructure, threatening our economic and national security.”
“Donald Trump’s unilateral disarmament against Putin is a critical strategic mistake. The best defense is always a strong offense, and this is true for cybersecurity as well,” Chuck Schumer emphasized.
He added that Democrats will continue to fight to hold Donald Trump accountable for “the harm he is doing to our security.”
