The State Property Fund of Ukraine has put up for sale two confiscated apartments in Odessa – one of them belonged to the Russian billionaire Mikhail Shelkov, the second to the Gauleiter of Kherson Vladimir Saldo.

Both properties are located in prestigious areas of the city near the sea. Online auctions for their sale are scheduled to take place on April 17, a Dumskoy correspondent reports.

Shelkov’s four-room apartment, with an area of ​​175 square meters, is located on the third floor of an eight-story building. From there you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Odessa Bay.

It is immediately obvious that they left here in a great hurry and quickly removed the property. In one of the rooms there is a safe in the wall for money and documents, as well as a place for storing weapons with an armored door.

The chairman of the liquidation commission of the Regional Branch of the State Property Fund for the Odessa and Nikolaev regions, Victoria Lysyuk, noted that the starting price of this lot is 7 million 520 thousand hryvnia.

The Russian oligarch also lost a large apartment in Nikopol, a warehouse with rolled metal products with a total area of ​​more than 2 thousand square meters, five cars – one L Exus and four M Itsubishi Pajero Sport , money in bank accounts and a 100 percent share in the authorized capital of a limited company responsibility of VSMPO Titan Ukraine. Mikhail Shelkov’s fortune, according to the Russian Forbes, is about one and a half billion dollars.

The property of the “governor” of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, appointed by the occupiers, is located in one of the residential complexes on Tenistaya Street. It is much more modest and the starting price is almost two times lower – 3.75 million UAH. The total area is 128 square meters.

Neighbors claim that someone lived here not long ago, but soon after the confiscation the property was sealed.

It is interesting that both apartments have large debts for utilities – Saldo has more than 12 thousand hryvnia, and Shelkov has 59 thousand (38 thousand for utilities and 21 thousand for a new boiler room). These costs will also be borne by the new owners.

According to our data, the starting price of these objects may rise significantly. Among the positive aspects for the sale are sea views from the apartments and a good location in the central part of Odessa,” emphasized the chairman of the liquidation commission.

Victoria Lysyuk also noted that today in Ukraine there are 731 objects of sanctioned property that are planned to be sold. Among the famous names of former owners of real estate and other assets  are Viktor Yanukovych, Artemy Lebedev, Oleg Deripaska.
