The German opposition also said when the meeting between Putin and Trump will take place.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz may meet Russian dictator Vladimir Putin before the parliamentary elections on February 23, according to Roderich Kiesewetter, security spokesman for Germany’s main opposition party, the CDU .

According to him, we need to be prepared “for the surprises of the election campaign.”

“There are more and more signs that Chancellor Scholz will go to Moscow or meet with Putin before February 23. For Ukraine, the implementation of the planned actions means, among other things, the suspension of the Paris Charter for 10-20 years. It will be indicative how the Ukrainian population or our neighbors react to all this,” the politician emphasized.

Kiesewetter noted that a meeting between newly elected US President Donald Trump and Putin is scheduled for March, so “let everyone draw their own conclusions on this matter.”

“Ukraine must not be an object and a victim. Russia is economically and socially up to its ears in water. However, Ukraine, which is much higher up the water, must be accommodated, not Russia! All negotiations and agreements that are currently being reached in this situation are taking place at the expense of Ukraine and de facto mean subordination. I do not want to be more clear here. We must not remain silent and allow the so-called “Normandy agreements” to take place at the expense of Ukraine, and we must not accept the so-called “agreements”. We must also not accept the so-called “Moscow connections” into our ranks!” – added the representative of the opposition German party.
