The detonation at the Morozovsk airfield was very powerful.

The Security Service of Ukraine drones have successfully cleared the airfield of air defense weapons, aviation and guided aerial bombs in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

Informed sources told UNIAN correspondent about this. In particular, last night SBU drones visited the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

Sources note that enemy air defense, aviation equipment and warehouses with guided air bombs, which the Russians use to raze Ukrainian cities to the ground, were located there. In addition, the special operation was carried out jointly with the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Defense Forces.

“The Ukrainian drones did a great job, hitting a warehouse of aviation ammunition. The detonation was such that local residents did not have enough swear words to describe their impressions of the scale of the explosions and the blossoming “bavovna”. The local Russian authorities are trying to hide the attack on a military facility and are reporting that only some warehouses are burning,” the sources noted.

In addition to the airfield, drones also hit the Gubkinskaya oil depot in the Belgorod region. Russians reported on social media about a series of explosions and fires on the territory of the oil depot, as well as about the operation of air defense systems.

Attack on Russian airfield

As UNIAN reported, on the night of August 4, the Defense Forces struck the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. Information about the destruction of air defense and aviation equipment was clarified.

It was recently revealed that Ukraine launched more long-range drones than Russia for the first time. In July, Russia launched 426 Shahed drones at Ukraine. During the same period, Ukraine launched more than 520 drones.
