Herman Gref, head of Sberbank, Russia’s largest state-controlled bank and one of the most powerful financial institutions in the country, made a surprising statement and said that everybody in russia wanted the war to end. This comes right after Russian politicians suggested confiscating money from banks to finance the war, and people rushed to withdraw their money. 13 billion rubles per day are withdrawn from the russian banking system.
