The Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in the Rostov region, one of Russia’s key oil refineries, has been burning for more than a day, according to satellite images from August 22 obtained by NV.
Despite the fact that more than a day has passed since the attack, the large fire and smoke are still ongoing. A huge column of smoke stretched for more than 6 kilometers and this is after lengthy attempts to extinguish the fire.
The damage to the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery became known late in the evening of August 20. Explosions were heard at the plant, after which a large-scale fire began.
Subsequently, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the drone attack on this production facility, noting that the plant is one of the key suppliers of petroleum products for the occupation forces. The importance of this particular facility is also confirmed by a number of independent OSINT projects.

Earlier, on August 21, there were reports of a drone strike in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation and a fire at a local oil refinery.
Special operations forces also confirmed an attack on August 21 on the railway infrastructure of captured Crimea : rolling stock carrying fuel and lubricants was hit.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the “destruction” of 49 drones at night, most of them in the Rostov region ( 21). However, Moscow traditionally did not mention the number of UAVs that reached their targets.

Beautiful. Mafia land must burn.
