Russia’s strike on Sumy: 13-year-old schoolboy heroically saved people from a burning bus

In Sumy, during the Russian attack, 13-year-old Kyrylo Ilyashenko demonstrated true heroism. He climbed out of a burning bus through a broken window and managed to open the locked door so that passengers who were still alive could escape, said Acting Mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar on Telegram .

He was on the bus with his mother. According to Kobzar on Telegram, Kirill himself was injured – three fragments hit his head. However, this did not stop him. Soon one of the doctors was able to remove them, the boy is under medical supervision. His mother’s face was cut by glass. No serious injuries were recorded.

The information was also confirmed at Sumy Comprehensive School No. 4. “A pupil of the Fakel Children’s and Youth School for Freestyle Wrestling, Kyrylo Ilyashenko, despite shrapnel wounds to the head, broke the glass with his blow, jumped out and unlocked the front door, saving the people nearby. This heroic act is worthy of gratitude and respect,” the Facebook post reads .
