The Russian army attacked Ukraine with drones, in particular, the Odessa region and Kharkov came under attack, there are reports of casualties and destruction.
As reported by a UNIAN correspondent, an air raid alert was declared in Odessa and the Odessa region on the evening of February 28. Explosions were heard in the city. Monitoring channels reported that the Russians launched “Shahed” type attack drones from the Primorsk-Akhtarsk airfield.
Updated : On the morning of March 1, the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office clarified that a 41-year-old man was killed in an enemy attack, three others were injured, and they were taken to the hospital.

According to the investigation, on the evening of February 28, the Russian armed forces attacked the Odessa region with drones, the type and number of which are being established.
“A private home, a private enterprise, a sports facility, cars and trucks were damaged. The survey is ongoing, and a full list of the destruction and damage is being established,” the department added.
An investigation has been launched into the facts of war crimes that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It also became known that in Kharkov, 7 people were injured due to a UAV attack, and more than 60 patients were evacuated from a medical facility that was destroyed.
“A total of 9 Shahed UAV strikes were carried out on the city that night,” Terekhov reported.

As reported by the head of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper, the enemy once again attacked the Odessa region with attack drones.
“The Odessa region was under attack. As a result of the attack and falling debris, a one-story private house, an enterprise, and trucks and cars caught fire. One person died, another was injured,” the official said.
According to him, all relevant services are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the attack by the occupiers.
On social networks, people write that the tragedy occurred in the city of Chernomorsk.
The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, also reported on the UAV attack on Kharkov. According to him, there were several landings in the regional center, in particular, in the central part of the city, in the residential area, residential buildings were damaged.
He later clarified that the enemy attacked a medical facility where people were located, and there was a fire at the site of the impact.
“There is another landing, preliminarily in the Shevchenkivskyi district and again near residential high-rise buildings… The landing is right opposite a high-rise building, the windows in the building are broken. Information about the victims is being clarified,” the mayor emphasized.
There was also a hit in the Kievsky district near a gas station; the extent of the damage and whether there are any casualties is currently being determined.
The Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, reported that a UAV hit caused a fire on the roof of a three-story building. He specified that all hits were in the central part of the city.
“According to updated data from the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid, one child was injured by glass,” he added.
According to the mayor Terekhov, nine “shaheds” struck Kharkov. Preliminary information indicates seven casualties. More than 60 people were evacuated from the damaged medical facility.
Russian strikes on Ukraine

In particular, in the Kievsky district of Odessa , 14 schools, 13 kindergartens, a children’s clinic and more than 500 multi-story buildings were left without power and heating due to the attack . Already in the evening of the same day and at the beginning of the day on February 20, Odessa was attacked by UAVs again, as a result of which fires broke out on the roof of a public catering establishment and in a warehouse building, an administrative building, a car wash, a roadway and a private house were damaged. About five thousand residents of one of the districts of Odessa were left without electricity. Due to the power outage, the work of treatment facilities had to be suspended. In total, 89,500 subscribers were left without electricity as a result of these strikes.
