The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reports this. The defeat was confirmed by Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.

The most serious consequences were recorded at the Syzran refinery, where the fire broke out near the tank farm, a key element of the company’s infrastructure.

This is where crude oil, which comes from Western Siberia via trunk pipelines, is stored, as well as finished petroleum products before shipment.

In addition, the fire has engulfed one of the oil processing units, which could affect the refinery’s production capacity. The tank farm acts as a buffer in the logistics chain, so its damage could disrupt supply stability.

After processing, the products from the plant are distributed in three directions: to the domestic market of the Russian Federation, via river routes along the Volga River, and also returned to the pipeline system for further export.

One of the key export hubs is the port of Novorossiysk, through which a significant portion of Russian oil products pass.
