Partisan groups are carrying out a growing number of sabotage operations against Russian rail infrastructure, according to Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) on November 2.

HUR stated that resistance movements operating within the Russian Federation are actively targeting strategic logistical routes. These attacks—ranging from arson to explosions—have reportedly disrupted transportation networks critical for military logistics.

According to HUR, incidents have occurred in multiple regions including Bryansk, Rostov, and Murmansk, as well as in Chechnya and Karachay-Cherkessia.

Similar operations were also reported in the occupied territories of Crimea and Luhansk region, indicating that the campaign extends beyond Russia’s internationally recognized borders.

“Coordinated actions by partisan groups are significantly complicating the enemy’s logistics,” Ukraine’s intelligence service said in a public statement. HUR added that the sabotage efforts are hampering the transfer of equipment and reinforcements, thereby weakening Russian offensive capabilities.

The latest example cited by HUR involved a successful sabotage near Novocherkassk in Russia’s Rostov region. The operation reportedly delayed military trains transporting personnel and equipment, causing cascading disruptions in supply chains deemed vital to Russian forces.

Earlier, the ATESH partisan movement claimed responsibility for setting fire to a railway relay cabinet in occupied Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, disrupting Russian military logistics along a key supply route.

  1. The mafia military is still greatly dependent on railroads for keeping its war efforts going. Any serious disruptions in the transport flow of supplies would have dire consequences in this task. The greatest recognition goes to Ukraine’s partisans, who have pinpointed this fact and are doing something to cripple the mafia war effort in this respect.
