The decision was allegedly made “taking into account the completion of the relocation of Gazprom Group companies to St. Petersburg.”

Having received the first loss in 25 years and a record loss in all history, the Russian giant ” Gazprom ” is starting to sell off its assets.

On Wednesday, the company announced the search for buyers for large real estate properties in Moscow and Moscow suburbs. Among them are office buildings on Budivelnykiv street, sanatorium-resort complex “Imperial Park Hotel & Spa” in Pervomaiske settlement, Rogozino village, non-residential premises on the first floor of a building on Novocheremushkinskaya street, as well as a parking lot with 96 spaces near the company’s head office in Moscow.

The decision was allegedly made “taking into account the completion of the relocation of Gazprom Group companies to St. Petersburg,” the company’s press service explained.

Gazprom’s losses – details

Russia’s state-controlled gas giant Gazprom reported its first annual net loss since 1999 due to reduced supplies to Europe and lower fuel prices.

Gazprom Group, which also includes oil and energy companies, posted a loss of 629 billion rubles ($6.84 billion) last year, compared with a net profit of 1.23 trillion rubles in 2022.

The energy company’s shares fell 4.4%, the sharpest drop in more than a year, amid market concerns about its dividend outlook. Gazprom’s largest shareholder is the Russian government, whose budget is under pressure from rising military spending and Western sanctions.

  1. Selling off assets only prolongs the inevitable corrosion of the company.

  2. A so called fire sale! Everything has to go before it goes up in flames.
