Kozyrev said that everyone in the free world should support the Ukrainians.

Former Russian Foreign Minister  Andrei Kozyrev praised the determination of Ukrainians to defend their freedom in the fight against the aggressor. He wrote about this on his page in the social network X.

“Ukrainian determination to defend freedom is simply miraculous. Everyone in the free and brave world should support them in any way possible. Shame on the so-called “realists” who bow down to Putin’s Russia,” Kozyrev said.

Let us recall that Kozyrev served as the Russian Foreign Minister under former President Boris Yeltsin in 1990-1996. Even during the Soviet era, he called on politicians to stop perceiving NATO as a threat and to strive for integration with the West.

In 2015, Kozyrev wrote a column for  The New York Times titled “Russia on the Path to Regime Change.” He later repeatedly criticized Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for invading Ukraine and called for an end to the war.
