Ukraine’s pressure campaign is triggering chain reactions across Crimea, Moscow’s fuel system, and Belarus — and Russia is starting to show the strain.
In this update, Greg breaks down Ukraine’s latest strikes on Crimea, including reported hits on S-400 air defense, a Pantsir-S1 system, Saki, Gvardisky, and key fuel and energy infrastructure. We also look at the Moscow refinery damage now expected to keep full capacity offline into 2027, Russia’s request for gasoline imports from Kazakhstan, and fuel restrictions across 53 Russian regions.
Then we turn to Belarus, where President Zelenskyy says the border repeaters connected to Russian Shahed drone routes have stopped working after Ukraine’s warning. Finally, we examine the Kremlin’s response from Lavrov, Peskov, and Medvedev — including Russia’s hardline negotiation message, the Trump angle, and the growing gap between Moscow’s narrative and the pressure Ukraine is applying.
Crimea is Ukraine. The 1991 borders matter. And this war is entering another pressure phase.
