President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the propaganda statements of the Russian Federation about the use of a new “wonderful weapon” testify to the complete failure of the invasion of Ukraine.

He stated this in a video message .

“Today, one of the representatives of the Russian state reported that the occupiers allegedly began to use laser weapon complexes in Ukraine. Allegedly, to save missiles.

First, the fact that they needed to save missiles and somehow explain this draws attention. That is, the more than 2,000 missiles that the Russian army fired into Ukraine were the bulk of their stockpile of missiles. That is, then there are only remnants,” the president said.

Secondly, Zelensky noted that everyone has already seen how Russia is fighting – inexperienced conscripts, whom it “throws into battle like cannon fodder”, looters who see normal household appliances in a foreign country for the first time, “old Soviet” armor “without modern defenses and banned phosphorus bombs, which they use to burn down schools and ordinary residential buildings.

“And missiles, most of which were spent by the Russian army on the destruction of absolutely civilian infrastructure without any strategic military result. On these days, they fired missiles at Nikolaev, as well as along the Dnieper,” he recalled.

The head of state stressed that in the propaganda of Nazi Germany there was such a term “wunderwaffe” – a miracle weapon.

“The clearer it became that they had no chance in the war, the more there was propaganda talk about an amazing weapon that would allegedly be so powerful that it would provide a turning point in the war. And now we see that in the third month of a full-scale war, Russia is trying to find its” wunderwaffe “Allegedly laser. All this clearly indicates the complete failure of the invasion,” he believes.

According to Zelensky, the occupiers are also afraid to admit that catastrophic mistakes have been made in Russia at the highest state and military level, so they will come up with more than one “wunderwaffe” while the defenders and defenders of Ukraine step by step liberate Ukrainian territory.

“How long will this last? The answer to this question can only be given by the real situation on the battlefield. We are trying as quickly as possible. That’s for sure. We are obliged to drive out the occupiers and guarantee real security to Ukraine. That is why I signed decrees to extend the legal regime of martial law and the period of general mobilization. I hope that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will soon support this decision. Our army and everyone who defends the state should have all the legal tools to act calmly,” he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russia announced that it was using a new generation of Zadira combat laser systems against Ukraine.

According to him, the “bully” allegedly can “burn through objects”, thanks to which you can not waste expensive missiles like “Pantsir” and “Torah”.
