“Bohdana” guns are being manufactured faster than chassis can be made for them, which is why a towed version of the self-propelled gun appeared in Ukraine. Why do artillerymen prefer the 155-mm 2P22 “Bohdana-BG” gun over its self-propelled version? One of the main reasons is its smaller dimensions. Thanks to them, the gun is easier to hide from enemy drones. Gunners of the 47th Artillery Brigade completely dug their “Bohdana-BG” into the ground, thus protecting it from Russian reconnaissance and incoming shells. Major Andriy Makarenko shared the history of the creation of various “Bohdana” modifications and also found out directly from the artillerymen how they would improve this gun.
