The tram depot was seriously damaged due to a Russian attack.

On the night of July 8, Russian occupiers shelled Kyiv , injuring two people, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to rescuers, fires broke out in the Desnyansky and Svyatoshynsky districts of the capital due to a Russian missile strike.
“In the Svyatoshynskyi district, an administrative building and warehouses caught fire. 2 people were injured, 1 of whom was hospitalized. A garage cooperative was burning at another address. The fire was extinguished. The administrative building and trams were also damaged as a result of the shelling,” the report added.
At the same time, a fire broke out in a warehouse in the Desnyanskyi district. Rescuers and all relevant services are currently working at the scene. Information about the victims and injured is being clarified.

Subsequently, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, reported that a woman died as a result of this attack.
“As of now, 1 person has died and 2 people have been injured. My sincere condolences to the family and friends,” he added.

In turn, the Kyiv City State Administration stated that 42 PESA cars were damaged in one of the depots due to enemy shelling of Kyiv.
“A working group of specialists from all metropolitan depots was promptly created. Rolling stock will be restored approximately within a week. Currently, tram routes are being duplicated by buses No. 1T and No. 3T,” the message noted.
