Problems with access to registers will be fully resolved in about a month.
Russian hackers partially stole critical data as a result of an attack on the Unified and State Registers , which are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Cybersecurity expert Konstantin Korsun said this on the air of the Kyiv24 TV channel.

“The data was stolen. Partially, at least. Because it’s impossible to steal the Eiffel Tower. It has to be placed somewhere. Some critical data was stolen,” Korsun said.
He noted that the biggest danger resulting from the attack is the virtual inaccessibility of the registries.
“Accordingly, this may affect business, the economy in general. It was an extremely complex attack, according to the first insights I have. It was prepared for a long time. Of the highest level of complexity,” the expert said.
At the same time, he said that Ukraine has not been able to create a national cybersecurity system and still does not have a corresponding law on cybersecurity.
“We will have problems with access to the registries for several weeks. Not two, of course, but most likely three, four, five. But I think that within these two weeks the registry will resume work, because, in fact, there are backups (backup copies – UNIAN). They are saved. It seems like everything should be in order. But deploying these backup copies takes time,” Korsun said.
The expert predicts that in a week they will begin to gradually restore the registers.
“And they will fully work, will be fully restored in about a month,” the expert is convinced.
Large-scale cyberattack on Ukrainian state registers – details
As UNIAN reported, on December 19, the largest external cyberattack on Ukraine’s state registers in recent times took place.
Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishyna reported that as a result of the attack, the work of the Unified and State Registers, which are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, has been temporarily suspended. The attack was carried out by the Russians with the aim of disrupting the work of the state’s critical infrastructure. The time for primary restoration will be approximately 2 weeks.
