On the night of Saturday, October 19, Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on Odessa and hit the private sector, where there are many residential buildings.
More than 10 private houses were damaged, said Oleg Kiper, head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
“As a result of the attack, a three-story building and two passenger cars nearby caught fire,” the official noted.
Kiper added that our firefighters quickly extinguished the fire:
“Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of yet another crime by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of the Odessa region.”
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odessa Oblast, rescuers quickly eliminated the consequences of the enemy attack, putting out a large fire in a residential building. The work to eliminate the fire was complicated by a repeated air raid alarm. The State Emergency Service deployed 7 units of equipment and 21 firefighters.
As noted by the acting Odessa mayor Alexander Filatov, there is no information about the dead or injured yet. According to the official, the attack was carried out on the city’s recreational area.

The city administration reported that after the missile strike, an air raid alert was declared due to the movement of enemy attack UAVs in the Odessa region.
