In frontline regions, Ukraine lacks the means to combat Russian reconnaissance drones, says Anatoly Khrapchinsky.
Russian strikes deep into Ukrainian territory have become more effective thanks to intelligence, according to Anatoly Khrapchinsky, deputy director of an electronic warfare equipment manufacturer and aviation expert, speaking on Radio NV .
“The enemy is using Chinese data. We see that the accuracy of strikes has increased, and this could only be due to receiving high-quality intelligence. And here I would speak about China, which actually has a much larger constellation of reconnaissance satellites (than Russia, – UNIAN) and is guaranteed to provide this information to Russia,” Khrapchinsky said.
At the same time, he added that the Russians have also increased the effectiveness of their strikes in frontline regions. He attributed this to the increased activity of Russian reconnaissance drones.
“This is a question about countermeasures. City councils should consider purchasing some electronic warfare and electronic intelligence equipment that would allow them to defend against at least reconnaissance drones. Because the problem that has arisen in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions is solely due to the lack of countermeasures against reconnaissance drones. A reconnaissance drone appears first, and then ballistic missiles are deployed, or strike drones appear, and so on,” Khrapchinsky added.
