Russia will establish in Siberia a well-guarded quarantine zone for Russians and foreigners evacuated from the Chinese province of Hubei due to an outbreak of coronavirus.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, reports Interfax.
According to her, Russia is evacuating 147 people from Wuhan and Hubei, including one citizen of Ukraine. They are isolated for 14 days in the Tyumen region.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the quarantine zone will be surrounded by two perimeter fencing and will be guarded by fighters of the Russian Guard.
According to the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, evacuated from China will be placed in a suburban rehabilitation center with all amenities. They are promised to be fed four times a day.
According to the latest data, 20,438 confirmed cases of coronavirus causing a dangerous form of pneumonia, as well as 425 fatal cases , were registered in China .
The World Health Organization has declared an international public health emergency for the spread of coronavirus.
