It was confirmed that over fifty drones and 9 missiles were hit. Ignat revealed the specifics of the occupiers’ night strike.

Today, September 7, the Russian army  attacked Ukraine with a record number of airstrikes.

Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, said this during a telethon. According to him, all the missiles with which the enemy attacked Ukraine today were ground-based.

The regions affected by the strikes include Odessa, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. So far, Ignat added, 54 UAVs have been confirmed to have been hit, plus there are downed drones that fell after being hit – this can also lead to consequences.

“There is already confirmation that nine missiles were hit. That’s why it wasn’t an easy night tonight. Of course, now all the media in the world will write that this is another anti-record for Ukraine. Of course, 823 air attack vehicles in total are an anti-record,” Ignat said.

He said that about half of the UAVs are Shahed attack drones, but the simulator drones also have a certain payload. These can be both reconnaissance equipment and explosives:

“Up to 5 kg of explosives can be installed on the Gerbera without any problems. This is also dangerous, if it hits some vulnerable spot, it can cause serious damage,” Ignat said.

That’s why, the military added, you can’t touch any suspicious objects, because a piece that someone wants to “take as a souvenir” could explode.

The main task of simulator drones is to complicate the air situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – over 800 targets in the sky are very difficult for the Defense Forces to destroy, and relevant specialists need to quickly make decisions on the use of certain air defense means against various targets in the relevant directions.

Regarding the trajectory of this movement of enemy drones, Ignat noted that the enemy makes special calculations – calculates all routes and has repeatedly used the territories of neighboring countries to launch air strikes on Ukraine. This has already happened in the north and south, where, for example, Russian drones passed through certain areas of Moldova and Romania.

“Yes, and this time several “Shaheeds” were recorded in the Belarusian direction – they cut off the so-so path… The enemy analyzes information from our information space, our Telegram channels every time,” said a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He explained that this is why the military asks not to publish real-time movement routes of enemy targets, because when preparing for the next attack, the Russians can use this information, in particular about the so-called “blind zones.”

  1. Thank god, Ukraine can rely on its allies for their hot air to help defend against this terrorism. Even Poland allows drones to fly unhindered into their country, thus diluting the effect of the attack. And, a special thank you goes to TACO, for never doing a damned thing to make his war criminal buddy stop this terrorism.
