In the Kharkiv region, an investigation into official negligence was launched after a Russian missile strike on a race venue, which killed three people.

“According to the investigation, on August 29, at about 09:30, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on the territory of one of the settlements of the Berestyn district of the Kharkiv region, where a race in memory of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine was taking place,” the report says.
Previously, the Russian military used an Iskander-M missile.
Three people died.
Official negligence that caused the death of people
Under the procedural leadership of the Berestyn District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – official negligence that caused the death of people.
As part of the proceedings, the investigation will verify the actions of the military administration officials who organized the event.
In particular, it will be established whether the officials properly fulfilled their duties to ensure the safety of the participants, whether they took into account the existing security situation, and whether all necessary measures were taken to prevent a threat to the life and health of people.
