Russians Attack Dnipropetrovsk Region: Young Rescuer Among the Dead

On Wednesday, August 6, Russian terrorists struck Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region . Among the dead and injured are rescuers.

“This evening in Nikopol, three people were killed by artillery shelling, including a rescuer. Four more people were injured, including three employees of the State Emergency Service,” the State Emergency Service reported .

It is noted that the rescuers came under fire from enemy cannon artillery while surveying the area after a previous enemy shelling. As a result of the Russian attack, a State Emergency Service service vehicle was directly hit.

Russians killed 23-year-old rescuer Daniil Khizhnyak.

Subsequently, the State Emergency Service confirmed that the deceased Daniil Khizhnyak was a senior lieutenant of the civil defense service. He had been in the ranks of the State Emergency Service since 2019.

“His dedication and courage will forever be remembered by his colleagues. He was a true hero, always ready to save lives and help others,” the statement said.
