Biden spoke about his conversation with Putin about the use of nuclear weapons.

The use of nuclear weapons is feared by everyone in Europe, including Russia. However, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has considered launching such a strike against Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden said this in an interview with American MSNBC TV host Lawrence O’Donnell in the Oval Office.

The head of the White House was asked whether he had spoken with Putin about the dictator not using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine. Biden replied that they had such a conversation.

“When he (Putin – UNIAN) started talking about tactical nuclear weapons, I said that he wanted to use them. Then he said: “No, I don’t want to do that.” Tactical nuclear weapons scare everyone in Europe, including the Russians,” the US president said.

Biden said he assured Putin that Ukraine had no nuclear weapons left, adding that the Russian dictator feared that Kyiv “would launch nuclear missiles at Moscow tomorrow” if the Ukrainians had the opportunity.

“I assured him that there are no nuclear weapons there (in Ukraine – UNIAN) and we will not return them. I said that they will not become part of NATO until they change their system. We will continue to help them grow if we can. But in response to this, you (Putin – UNIAN) will not attack them and take their territory,” Biden said.

The US President added that he knew that Putin would still decide to invade Ukraine, but many allies did not believe it.
